Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood actor and writer whose talent has earned her recognition as well as critical praise. Sagittarius. Born on the coast of North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's the oldest of three siblings born in the home of Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper, and Anne psychologist. She's English and Scottish. Due to her father's job the Moore family moved a lot and she was unable to form friendships, or to keep ones. In 1986, she was cast in the dual roles as Sabrina Hughes, and Frannie Hughes on the show As the World Spins. This role gave her the break that brought her to success. It ran through 1988 and won the Daytime Emmy Award. The year 1990 saw her first film appearance came in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The movie she later described as a bad low-budget production. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), as well as 3 Women, also productions from Altman (1997) were among her films.
