Aisha Jamila hinds, a popular American actress. She is known for her roles in the television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she's proven her ability as an actress by giving impressive performances in television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. In 2005 she came under the spotlight initially for her role as Anna on Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her portrayal of Fannie Lou (a women's activist for rights) within the biography All the Way film that earned her the attention of an actor. Hind was also acknowledged for her performance as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a 3rd season. In her harrowing portrayal of the love-struck Paro in Devdas (2002) the film that was one of the most popular Bollywood films as well as the first film to screen at the Cannes Film Festival Bachchan cemented herself as the queen of Bollywood. She received praise for her role in Chokher Bal (2003) the dramatic drama based upon RabindranathTagore's book. This year she was appointed as the first Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan appeared as Bride and Prejudice by Gurinder Chadha. The film is a dance and musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. This was the moment that Bachchan made her famous by bringing star power and beauty to her first important English-language film. The actress returned to Bollywood to star in the critically acclaimed Dhoom: 2 (2006) before releasing Provoked The Story of Provoked True Story (2006) in English. She was married to Abhishek Bachchan who was a co-star who is the son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage has brought two of India's most famous personalities together.
